A group formed within RVA's community of late-night jazz, blues, funk, and soul jam sessions.

The Broad Strokes was formed by Richmond musicians who all met playing together at various funk, soul, blues and jazz jams. It makes sense that the band blends elements from all of these genres to reimagine songs with their own unique touch. You can expect to hear an explosive beat and shredding guitars for one song, and then soft, dulcet tones and soulful sax on the next. The Broad Strokes can make audiences groove with a tight rhythm section and rich harmonies.

The group includes: Nico Salazar (vocals/ guitar], Nick Valle (lead guitar), Andrew Huynh (keys/ sax), Tommy Carman (bass, backing vocals), and Cameron Patterson (drums). Also featuring Eli Krash (keys) and Ben DaCosta Kaufman (vocals).

With only 100 seats, shows at Révéler are intimate and immersive.
