Exquisite modern jazz performed by an all-star ensemble.

Taylor Barnett is an Assistant Professor and Director of Jazz Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University and is a member of No BS! Brass, as well as the leader of his own jazz groups. He has performed at the Monterey Jazz Festival, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, Toronto Jazz Festival, and on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert as well as with artists such as Bon Iver, Woody Herman Orchestra, Gladys Knight, and The Temptations. As a composer/arranger, Taylor's work is published by UNC Jazz Press and his large-ensemble arrangements have been performed by the Richmond Symphony and by big bands at music festivals in Australia, Portugal, China, and all across the United States.

The quintet includes: Taylor Barnett (trumpet, flugelhorn); Reggie Pace (trombone); Trey Pollard (guitar); Cameron Ralston (bass); and Billy Williams (drums).

Reggie Pace is a musician and composer from Richmond, Virginia. He plays in and co-founded No BS! Brass and is a member of Night Idea, Piranha Rama and is a former member of Bon Iver. Reggie is a freelance composer, brass player, percussionist, and background singer.

Trey Pollard is a guitarist, composer and arranger based in Richmond, VA with a toe in many different genres, from jazz to indie rock and contemporary classical music. As a guitarist, Trey has toured extensively in the US and Europe and performed with artists such as Foxygen, Natalie Prass, Steve Wilson, Rene Marie, Joe Locke, Michael McDonald, Sara Bareilles, Helado Negro, Jason Mraz, Josh Groban, Lola Kirke, and Laetita Sadier (Stereolab). As an arranger/orchestrator he’s written for artists like Mandy Moore, Bedouine, Faye Webster, Natalie Prass, The Waterboys, Foxygen, Matthew E. White and Helado Negro and recorded/conducted his arrangements in studios located in Richmond, New York, Los Angeles, Nashville and London. Trey is also co-owner of Spacebomb Group, a production company, management company and record label based in Richmond. He released his first solo album of classical chamber music compositions called Antiphone in November of 2018.

Cameron Ralston is a member of the Spacebomb House Band, a producer, and songwriter published by Spacebomb. Artists with whom Cameron has worked includes Matthew E. White, Natalie Prass, K.D. Lang, and Sharon Van Etten.

Billy Williams has worked professionally with many master musicians including: Larry Willis, Cyrus Chestnut, Steve Davis, Warren Wolf, Justin Kauflin, Raul Midon, Delfeayo and Ellis Marsalis, Tim Warfield, Christian McBride, Benny Golson, Gary Bartz, Nat Reeves, and Jon Faddis. His talents have afforded him the chance to perform in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and The Village Vanguard (NYC).
