Taught by her father, Prof. Swapan Siva, she displayed remarkable rhythmic clarity and brilliance from a very early age. Surprisingly bold in stepping into a male-dominated field, Rimpa began her professional journey in her teens and was so impressed mentors began teaching her alongside male students. She’s been recognized as the “Princess of Tabla” for good reason—her technical confidence, dynamism, and expressive power on the instrument are truly exceptional.

By her early twenties, Rimpa had already featured on about 50 recordings under various labels and won national acclaim for her solo performances. She was the subject of the documentary Princess of Tabla, which highlighted her rare position in classical percussion. She has performed extensively across India and abroad, collaborating with renowned instrumentalists in jugalbandis and concerts—with sarangi maestro Sandeep Mishra being a notable recent collaborator. With her impeccable execution of traditional kaydas, relas, tukdas, and gats, Rimpa has consistently impressed audiences and critics alike with both scholarly depth and impassioned creativity.

Rooted in India and sculpted by Virginia, Prabir's music is the bridge between the east and west. Traditional raga melodies from India turned into riffs played on guitar, all fused together in a harmonic and melodic presentation.

With only 107 seats, shows at Révéler are intimate and immersive. A romantic venue with exquisite sound and dreamy vibes, Révéler offers a unique selection of cocktails, wines, beers, bubbles, and non-alcoholic beverages. Our kitchen delivers small plates crafted with care.
