The Orbital Big Band is the real deal, Richmond's premier 17-piece jazz ensemble. Founded in the summer of 2026 by some of the area's finest musicians, it carries on the legacy of the American big band for the next generation. From the dance halls of the 1930's to the recording studios of the present, the band's musicians weave their way through every era of the music's history.
