An evening of ghoulish grooves with Maddy and friends conjuring Halloween jazz standards, some pop thrillers, and spooky originals.

Maddy and her crew are quickly becoming a Richmond jazz scene staple. With her tone and phrasing harkening back to the great jazz and old Hollywood vocalists of yesteryear, Maddy draws audiences into her performances that critics have described as "hauntingly beautiful" (DC Metro Theatre Arts) and "soulful beyond her years" (Simon Cowell, American Idol Season 9). Most recently, the Auricular described Maddy as "a soulful vocalist who brings a retro-jazz sound that feels like it stepped right out of the World War II era". Her debut album, How are you?, came out this past June celebrated with a sold-out show at Révéler (where her quartet recorded the album in a live session).

This special Halloween show features jazz standards and deep cuts that celebrate spells, witches, bones, and other somewhat creepy topics. It will be a thrilling evening that will also include a few of Maddy’s own originals. Costumes are highly encouraged!

The haunted quartet also includes Quincy Harmon on piano and keybass, Stephan LaRue on drums, and Will Evans on trumpet.
