Eugene Pendleton's kinship for the acoustic guitar started at age twelve and was instrumental in developing his self-taught guitar voice. At the age of nineteen, he moved to New York City which shaped his musical appetite. Shortly after returning to Richmond in 1980, Pendleton co-founded the acoustic electric new age jazz band “Quiet Steps” which gained radio play. Live performances included art openings, Dogwood Dell, Friday Cheers, Hampton University, Saint Paul’s College, and Fredericksburg venues. His most recent project was the “SKETCHES” band.
This ensemble includes: Robbie Cunningham (vocals), Wilbert Anderson (bass), Jarius Wilson (piano/keyboards), and Lenny Bones (drums).
