DIMITRIJE VASILJEVIĆ QUARTET

JAZZ8:00PM SHOW
DIMITRIJE VASILJEVIĆ QUARTET

"Dimitrije's music occupies a unique space somewhere between the classical piano tradition and jazz. Whatever you want to label this music, it's beautiful, full of bright melodies and strong rhythms, and his command over the piano is astounding." - CHRIS POTTER

The Dimitrije Vasiljević Quartet offers an original and deeply expressive sound, rooted in modern jazz and enriched with elements from both the Balkan and European traditions. Equally shaped by the innovations of contemporary American jazz, Vasiljević’s music moves effortlessly between sensitive, emotionally charged passages and compelling rhythmic interplay. Known for its evocative blend of intricate harmonic landscapes, world-inspired grooves, and intimate quartet dynamics, the ensemble crafts performances that are as strikingly beautiful as they are intellectually engaging. This ensemble includes: Trey Pollard (guitar); Dimitrije Vasiljević (piano), Randall Pharr (bass), and Emre Kartari (drums).

Throughout his career, Vasiljević has graced iconic stages, including Carnegie Hall, the United Nations Headquarters, the Kennedy Center, Montreux Palace, and the Krannert Center. His schedule is consistently filled with performances across the U.S. and Europe, both solo and with his jazz quartet.

In collaboration, Vasiljević has shared stages with jazz virtuosos such as Joe Lovano, Chris Potter, Charles “Chip” McNeill, Marko Djordjevic and Brad Shepik. With four leading albums to his credit, his recent endeavor, Accidental Nomad, garnered attention, representing Ropeadope Records in four categories at the 2019 Grammy Award Nominations.

With only 100 seats, shows at Révéler are intimate and immersive. A romantic venue with exquisite sound and dreamy vibes, Révéler offers a unique selection of cocktails, wines, beers, bubbles, and non-alcoholic beverages. Our kitchen delivers small plates crafted with care.
