Jazz vocalist Carol Covell started singing at the age of eight at Bethel A.M.E Church in Stamford, Connecticut. Her profesional signing career started in partnership with her spouse, an accomplished latin percussionist - Ken Covell - whose credits include working with Carlos Santana, Bonnie Raitt and 1950’s icon Big Joe Turner. Carol and Ken combined piano and vocals at the Club L’Utopie in Port Cogolin, St. Tropez, France. In London, Carol sat-in at the Bill Bentley 30 Jazz Club. Arriving in Richmond, Virginia, Carol's unique musical approach continued to develop, with gigs with the Richmond Jazz Society. Returning to Europe, Carol performed at a Monmartre Coffee house in Paris, and with Anne-Marie Godart at the Hotel Concord Lafayette. Her shows feature a vibrant band and a diverse repertoire of jazz classics and standards.
