BRIAN MORGAN + PASHA KARCHEVSKY

BRIAN MORGAN + PASHA KARCHEVSKY

An evening of spectacular jazz brass performed by an all-star ensemble.

Richmond based trombonist Brian Morgan returns to Reveler with his Sextet for two sets of classic and original jazz with special guest, trumpeter Pasha Karchevsky. The Morgan Sextet is made up of some of Richmond's top jazz musicians; Michael Hawkins - Bass, Stephan LaRue - Drums, Jacob Smith - Piano, Ron Fix - Saxophones. Trombonist Brian Morgan has performed globally with Broadway musicals (The Book of Mormon; A Bronx Tale; Elf), cruise lines (Celebrity Cruises, Cunard Lines, Regent Seven Seas, Norwegian Cruise Lines), regional theatre (Palace Theatre; Winnipesaukee Playhouse), classical orchestras (Central Oregon Symphony; Riverside Symphony), and rock bands (Nogu Svelo). He began his love affair with jazz music at age 15 while growing up in Beaverton, OR.

Pasha Karchevsky is a Russian-born jazz trumpet player, composer, and bandleader based in the NYC/Northern New Jersey area. Known for his expressive sound, strong melodic sense, and deep connection to the jazz tradition, Pasha brings a modern voice to contemporary jazz while honoring its roots. He has performed with many acclaimed artists and ensembles, including the Mingus Big Band, Dafnis Prieto Big Band, Dan Pugach Big Band, Terence Blanchard , Don Braden , Alex Sipiagin, Donald Edwards, Boris Kozlov and internationally recognized pop and jazz artists such as Leona Lewis. His musical experience spans straight-ahead jazz, modern jazz, gospel and original contemporary projects.

As a bandleader, Pasha leads his own jazz ensemble, performing original compositions alongside creative arrangements of jazz standards. His music blends strong grooves, rich harmonies, and dynamic improvisation, creating an engaging and energetic live experience.
