Professor Bless will be marking his 70th birthday this evening at “The Old as Dirt Cabaret”. The youngsters in the Blue Orpheus Orchestra have agreed to make this a retrospective show of songs that the Professor has written over the decades. Songs from the Ululating Mummies, Happy Lucky Combo, The Professor and Madwoman, Blue Orpheus Orchestra and Breath and Bellows. Included will be excerpts from the Cowgirl Suite, First Woman on Mars and the Sweet Indian Suite, and perhaps something from the Richmond Indigenous Gourd Orchestra? Oh, and music from the back behind and the underneath.
