This all-star quartet delves fearlessly into the iconic songbooks of jazz luminaries.

Drummer and bandleader Billy Williams has played with many legendary jazz artists, including Larry Willis; Cyrus Chestnut; Steve Davis; Warren Wolf; Justin Kauflin; Raul Midon; Delfeayo, Jason and Ellis Marsalis; Tim Warfield; Benny Golson; Gary Bartz; Nat Reeves; and Jon Faddis. He has performed at iconic venues such as Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Village Vanguard (NYC); New Morning (Paris), Bimhuis (Amsterdam), Singapore Jazz Festival, Ronnie Scott's (London), Montreux Jazz Festival, and The Blue Note (Milan and Tokyo).

Billy has been featured as an Jazz Studies Artist-In-Residence at Duke University (Durham, NC), Centrum Jazz Workshop (Port Townsend, WA), National Conservatory of Music (Asuncion, Paraguay), The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (Eau Claire, WI), JazzSTL (St. Louis, Missouri), and at the Governor’s School for the Arts (Norfolk, VA).

A Sonor, Zildjian, and Vic Firth Artist, Billy’s drum and cymbal sounds were sampled for use for “Straight Ahead! Jazz Drums" and “Straight Ahead! Jazz Brushes and Mallets" digital libraries. The exclusive collection contains samples, loops, and grooves to allow users to add authentic jazz drum sounds to their electronic sound libraries.

This quartet includes Nate Clark (saxophones), George Maddox (piano), and Jimmy Trussell (bass).
