The Rhythmasters bring together some of Richmond’s most accomplished and experienced musicians for an evening that celebrates the breadth, history, and spirit of American jazz.

With vocalist and entertainer Therochelle Moore, the ensemble presents a musical cabaret built around great songs, expressive musicianship, and the joy of musicians who genuinely love playing together. Their repertoire is an eclectic mix of retro jazz favorites, overlooked classics, and unexpected hidden gems. Drawing from jazz, blues, R&B, and Creole musical traditions, Therochelle and The Rhythmasters create a sound that feels at first familiar and fresh, honoring the music’s roots while bringing their own personalities and years of experience to every performance. The ensemble includes: Therochelle Moore (vocals); Ayinde Williams (piano); Jonathan “Jon” Wheelock (bass); Johnny Hott (drums, percussion); Tommy Daughtrey (baritone saxophone, clarinet); Dave Lucado (trombone); and Mark Ingraham (trumpet).
