An ensemble of accomplished musicians weave a vibrant tapestry of pop tunes from all around the world.

On the heels of a swinging July 4th main stage concert event at the Wintergreen Music Festival, this remarkable quintet bring their diverse repertoire to RVA for a special Monday early evening show! As we begin observing America's 250th birthday year, the group are celebrating Jazz: A Musical Melting Pot. They'll be performing jazz-infused versions of songs by rock era songwriters like Brian Wilson, Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, John Lennon, Sting and The Who, as well as new, clever arrangements of standard songs by the Gershwins, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Rodgers & Hammerstein, and Brazilian composers.

Laura Ann Singh is a multilingual American singer, recording artist and composer, often associated with musica popular brasileira and Latin boleros. She has performed internationally in Europe, Russia, and South America, and with Miramar has been featured on NPR’s Tiny Desk and headlined globalFEST in New York City. She has recorded with Daptone Records, Barbès Records, and Electric Cowbell as well as dozens of independent recordings. Her repertoire pulls from all over Latin America, especially Brazil, but includes American Songbook standards, women composers, and original music. In 2025, Laura Ann began recording with Rosette, a Richmond-based string quartet. She is a founding member of the internationally acclaimed ensemble Miramar. In September of 2024, Miramar released their second album, Entre Tus Flores, on Ansonia Records in January of 2025.

When John Winn steps on stage, he brings an element of versatility that is seldom heard amongst jazz bands. John's lush vocal timbre has been compared to those of Chet Baker and Harry Connick, Jr., and his scat singing follows the traditions of Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Mel Torme. As a saxophonist and clarinetist, John has appeared on stage with luminaries such as Tony Bennett, Aretha Franklin, Arturo Sandoval, Lou Rawls, Steve Lawrence and Edy Gourmet, Ben Vereen, Chita Rivera, Dianne Schuur, John Pizzarelli, Jon Faddis, Milt Hinton, Jimmy Heath, Doc Severinson, Christian McBride, and Branford Marsalis.

Daniel Clarke is a pianist, songwriter, arranger, and prolific instrumentalist with deep roots in Richmond, Virginia. Daniel’s eclectic and prodigious musicianship has made him a sought after collaborator by artists such as k.d. lang, Ryan Adams, The War on Drugs, Mandy Moore, Jason Mraz, John D'earth, and René Marie.

Drummer Brian Caputo has been a fixture on the Virginia music scene since 1993, performing and recording with diverse music groups from Richmond, Charlottesville, DC, and Hampton Roads. A graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University studying jazz and classical percussion. Most recently Brian has been performing in a traveling jazz cabaret show called "Be Anything" with singer Ali Webb from Charlottesville VA. He currently resides in Richmond VA.

Bassist Randall Pharr specializes in many genres of American and Latin music. He is a member of the music faculties at University of Richmond and Virginia Commonwealth University teaching jazz and electric bass, small jazz ensemble, and jazz improvisation.
