Charles and Sara Arthur have been standouts in the Richmond music scene since the late 1990s, when they were founding members of the legendary ‘Johnny Hott’s Piedmont Souprize’. Sara’s vocals, described as ‘somewhere south of Norah Jones and a little north of Patsy Cline’, were a highlight in that band’s catchy mix of rhythm and blues, country, rock ‘n roll, and classic jazz. Charles is well known as a versatile multi-instrumentalist, with years of experience locally with folks like Page Wilson, as well with Austin artists Slaid Cleaves and Wayne ‘the Train’ Hancock.

Together with stellar Richmond musicians Rob ‘Berto’ Lytle (drums), Stephen McCarthy (bass), and Corey Wells (guitar), they play an irresistible rootsy mix of classic country, and rhythm and blues.
