RVA musicians ditch their band and play the grand!

So many songs start sitting behind a piano and by the time they make it out into the world there isn't even any piano on the track. This event is an exploration of the early stages of those songs featuring musicians who perform with bands instead sharing stripped down renditions of their songs with only a piano and their voices.

The Rock & Roll Piano Recital is curated and hosted by Eric Sites (Madly Backwards) and featured performers include Erin Lunsford (Erin & The Wildfire), Jake Cochran (Illiterate Light), Mackenzie Roark & Billy Bacci (Hotpants), and Bella Salunga (Beya).

Eric Sites is the front man, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist for the Richmond-based denim jacket rock band Madly Backwards.

Erin Lunsford is the front woman and powerhouse vocalist of Richmond-based indie-pop soul band Erin & The Wildfire.

Jake Cochran is the drummer and official crowd surfer of Harisonburg-based rock duo Illiterate Light.

Mackenzie Roark & Billy Bacci handle guitar, piano, and vocal duties for Richmond-based Americana rock band Hotpants.

Bella Salunga is the singer and lyricist of Richmond-based folk rock band Beya.
