Quinton Jones

Quinton Jones

Modern jazz with roots in pop, EDM, hip-hop, R&B, and gospel.

Quinton Jones is a Virginia-based recording artist, producer, and pianist. As a founding member of the musical collective "Musically Gifted & Socially Awkward", he excels in genre blending production. His influences are numerous (ranging from jazz to electronica) and he prides himself on being hard to label.

The musical career of Quinton Jones spans years of playing for countless programs, churches, and musical acts of varying sizes, curating worship experiences and directing choirs at Saint John Baptist Church in Stony Creek, Olive Branch Baptist Church in Dinwiddie, and First Baptist Church McKenney, among other acts, with his light-hearted, high-spirited demeanor and relatable, approachable teaching style. Quinton has rendered musical accompaniment for a host of celebrated musicians in the RVA community and beyond, such as Hannon Lane, James “Saxsmo” Gates, Dr. Weldon Hill, and Rodney “The Soul Singer” Stith, to name a few. With this breadth of musical expertise and camaraderie, Jones has assembled experienced bands to perform sets at the 2nd Street Festival, The Roots Jam and In Your Ear Studio’s Shockoe Sessions Live.

Performing: Quinton Jones (keyboard and vocals); James “Saxsmo” Gates (saxophone); Hannon Lane (guitar); Zion Charity (bass); Phil Foster Jr. (drums); Tenache “Nache Nolastname” Hunter (vocals).
