MIGHTY JOSHUA

REGGAE8:00PM SHOW
MIGHTY JOSHUA

Mighty Joshua’s performance is an open invitation into a world of rhythm, unity, and aura. The spotlight turns toward Ras Mel Glover, whose guitar has been a bridge between Richmond’s stages and the world’s biggest tours. It is not just a show, it is a celebration of living legends.

A special night is coming to Richmond as Mighty Joshua makes a first appearance at Révéler for an intimate affair that is more than a concert. This is an engagement between artist and audience, sound and soul. We gather to celebrate the legendary Ras Mel Glover, a cornerstone of Richmond’s musical heartbeat and the lead guitarist who has helped shape Mighty Joshua’s signature sound. Ras Mel’s work spans decades, from the city’s vibrant jazz scene to the world stage, including tours with The Wailers, Eddie Grant, and his founding role in the Awareness Art Ensemble. On this night, we honor not only his artistry but also the living legacy he continues to create. Come ready to be moved by music, story, and a spirit of gratitude for those who inspire us while they are here to feel it.

Independent Reggae Artist Mighty Joshua engages audiences by opening minds and activating bodies through song. Conscious lyrics flow freely to create distinctive refrains that pulse with pride against rhythms rooted in percussion. His soulful exploration in the evolution of sound creates an expression of reggae for the modern day.

MJ’s musical roots in African percussion led to experimenting with sound and rhythm. Soon after exposure to Djembe and Djun Djun drums they became a part of his playing repertoire which also includes the Didgeridoo. Mighty Joshua has opened for several internationally acclaimed reggae acts including Steel Pulse, Culture w/ Kenyatta Hill, Akae Beka, the Meditations, the Itals, and Ziggy Marley.

The band includes: Joshua Achalam (vocals, percussion) carrying the message and rhythm of conscious reggae to uplift and connect; Ras Mel Glover (lead guitar) Richmond’s reggae elder, sonic architect, and celebrated international touring artist; Sam Kravanic (bass) deep groove maker, anchoring the heartbeat of the band; Ian Hartman (guitar) steady and colorful molten strings; Nate Koch (saxophone and flute) bringing bold, melodic fire to the frontline; Joshua Crenshaw (keys) committed to structure that lends itself to wild texture; and Ryan Harlow (drums) the pulse and energy that drives the music forward.

With only 100 seats, shows at Révéler are intimate and immersive. A romantic venue with exquisite sound and dreamy vibes, Révéler offers a unique selection of cocktails, wines, beers, bubbles, and non-alcoholic beverages. Our kitchen delivers small plates crafted with care.
