Two sets of extraordinary modern jazz featuring an all-star quartet.

Corey Fonville, an influential drummer in today's music scene, has dedicated his life to learning the craft and its history in order to be one of the best drummers of his time. As an artist and music-enthusiast, he studied a variety of genres, mostly through his fathers music collection, which generally consisted of jazz, R&B, alternative, and funk. His skills are rooted in an eclectic background and call attention to the fact that music is hard to typify. Almost immediately after completing his studies at The Brubeck Institute, he began traveling the world with notable artists such as Nicholas Payton, Jacky Terrasson, and Christian Scott. Corey is currently working with Christian Scott Additionally, Corey has his own band Butcher Brown which he plans to continue recording with them and hopes to keep building an international fan base. Corey was nominated for a Grammy in 2023 in the Best Alternative Jazz Album: SuperBlue: The Iridescent Spree.

Justin Kauflin is an award-winning, American "jazz pianist who favors a clarity of touch and ideas ... his writing is balanced, tempering post bop tendencies with the assurances of the gospel church" (New York Times). As leader, player, composer, and producer, Justin Kauflin has released 10 recordings to date and collaborated on over 30 projects. For 10 years, Justin has worked and toured under the management of Quincy Jones and Quincy Jones Productions.

Bassist Jimmy Masters has played with numerous jazz legends over nearly 40 years of bass performances, including Ellis Marsalis, Cyrus Chestnut, Justin Kauflin, Chuck Mangione, Randy Brecker, Veronica Swift, Kurt Elling, Peter Bernstein, Chris Whiteman, Herb Ellis, Charlie Byrd, Carter Beauford, Tommy Emanuel, John D'Earth, and Rex Richardson.

Saxophonist Eddie Williams was born in Newport News, Virginia. He attended Berklee School of Music in the early 70’s to study performance and improvisation. Relocating in the early 1980’s to the West Coast, Eddie performed in LA and Las Vegas with Vocalist Jeannine Marie, opening for stars such as George Carlin and Bill Cosby. Returning to the East Coast, Eddie was an instructor at the Governors School for the Arts at Old Dominion University for 10 years teaching Jazz History, Music Theory and Improvisation. Eddie has been a Studio Musician for 25 years performing on jingles, television and motion picture soundtracks. He has performed with artist such as Carter Beauford, Tim Reynolds, Gladys Knight, Burt Bacharach and Randy Brecker. Currently, Eddie is performing with singer/song writer, Karl Werne.
