BILLER-MORGAN QUINTET

JAZZ7:00PM SHOW
BILLER-MORGAN QUINTET

RVA musicians Alan Biller and Brian Morgan team up to present an evening of classic and modern jazz. The ensemble met at Révéler's weekly Jazz Workshop.

Trombonist Brian Morgan has performed globally with Broadway musicals (The Book of Mormon; A Bronx Tale; Elf), cruise lines (Celebrity Cruises, Cunard Lines, Regent Seven Seas, Norwegian Cruise Lines), regional theatre (Palace Theatre; Winnipesaukee Playhouse), classical orchestras (Central Oregon Symphony; Riverside Symphony), and rock bands (Nogu Svelo). He began his love affair with jazz music at age 15 while growing up in Beaverton, OR.

Guitarist Alan Biller has lived and performed in NYC, Montreal, Washington DC, and Richmond, VA as part of their lively jazz scenes. He has performed worldwide with the Capital Focus Jazz Band, playing at the French Quarter Festival in New Orleans, the Old Sacramento Dixieland Jazz Jubilee, and the Ascona Jazz Festival in Ascona, Switzerland. He also spent several months performing on Carnival Cruise Lines and lived to tell about it. He has studied with such famous (and infamous) jazz greats as Bruce Arnold, Mordy Ferber, Ron McClure, Frank Kimbrough, and George Garzone. He received his BMus from NYU. With his solo project Wolf In Wool, he tries to make his guitar sound like anything but a guitar, with varying levels of success.

Brian and Alan will be joined by Bryan McEntire on tenor sax, Jack Byrnes on bass, and Stephan LaRue on drums, along with special guest vocalist Sara Bouchard.

With only 100 seats, shows at Révéler are intimate and immersive. A romantic venue with exquisite sound and dreamy vibes, Révéler offers a unique selection of cocktails, wines, beers, bubbles, and non-alcoholic beverages. Our kitchen delivers small plates crafted with care.
