Ahrel Lumzy is a Grammy Award–winning vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and one of the founding voices of D’Angelo & The Vanguard. As one of only four vocalists ever featured on a D’Angelo album, his sound helped define the spiritual, raw, and deeply soulful character of Black Messiah. Now stepping into a new era, Ahrel has formed his band Nostalgia—a powerhouse collective of musicians dedicated to preserving the roots of funk and soul while pushing the genre forward with fresh energy and fearless musicianship.

Ahrel Lumzy & Nostalgia combine deep-pocket grooves, emotional lyricism, lush harmonies, and electrifying live performance energy.
